With anxiety-free sedation dentistry, we may be able to complete most of your dental care at one time. We can often do extended treatments in a couple of appointments.

Just call us and our staff will be happy to answer your questions.

You can also book a FREE, 15-minute sedation dentistry consultation with Dr. Danis at any time.

Types of Sedation

Sedation options include:

  • Nitrous oxide (laughing gas)
  • Oral sedation: Simply taking a small pill before your treatment
  • Combination of oral sedation and nitrous oxide
  • Light intravenous (IV) sedation
  • Moderate intravenous (IV) sedation

Gas (Laughing Gas) Sedation

Before the start of your appointment, you will be allowed to breath in a controlled amount of "laughing" gas. You will feel the relaxing effects within minutes. We will be able to provide you with any dental treatment as you remain stress free. The effects of the gas will end in less than 5 minutes after we finish the treatment. You will not need to be accompanied by a companion during this visit.

Oral (Pill) Sedation

Types of Sedation

On the day of your appointment a companion will bring you to the office where you will take medication (a small pill). Our experienced clinical team will make certain that you’re relaxed and completely comfortable and we monitor you very closely while you’re relaxing the time away. At the end of your treatment, we will observe and keep care of you as you complete full recovery in our clinic. You will then be able to leave escorted by your companion in a relaxed state!

Combination (Pill+Gas) Sedation

Oral sedation may be combined with gas sedation at any time depending on the desired level of sedation.

On the day of your appointment a companion will bring you to the office where you will be prepared by our staff for IV administration of a sedative. We will be able to perform any of your dental needs during this time while you are relaxed and asleep. Once we are finished with the dental treatment, you will be monitored as you recover in our clinic. You will then be able to leave with your companion without the stress of past appointments! Remember to call us and book you free consultation with Dr. Danis. We will answer all of your questions.

Levels of Sedation

Light (Conscious) and Moderate Sedation

Dr. Danis is trained in the techniques of both light (conscious) and moderate sedation for all dental procedures. The level (light or moderate) sedation used will depend on the patients’ needs as well as the type of dental treatments required. All of this will be clearly explained and discussed in your complimentary consultation with Dr. Danis.

Even if you think that sedation dentistry is not for you, rest assured that your comfort can still be achieved. Dr. Danis has been trained in advanced local anaesthetic techniques.
